It’s not likely you have heard of Ilha da Gigoia, let alone been there. Definitely not a well-known spot like Ipanema or Copacabana and it’s not a very significant island. A short walk will cover the entire spot and it should be considered that there are no streets or cars. Being such a tranquil and relaxed atmosphere makes for fantastic accommodations. If you’re searching for a different vacation escape than staying at hotels, it may also astonish you that Gigoia is in the heart of Rio de Janeiro, but yet still, most people have never heard of it, much less have they looked for apartments there.
