In the determined pursuit of growth and development, we have transformed our ecology to suit a particular notion of life. Landscapes have changed. Science and technologies have been deployed to create an ever changing way of life. We too have changed with these changes. We have learned to adjust and adapt. The environment has been remodeled artificially to suit the needs of the urban lifestyle. Nature is stressed as never before. Weather patterns are changing. Climate change is talked about. The need to conserve and protect nature in its pristine glory is affirmed. But rarely do we have time to reflect.
