The area has a surfeit of natural attractions
From beautiful beaches and seaside resorts to national parks and charming towns and so much more, there’s almost too much to do on vacation here. The regions national parks are a nice contrast to the coastal beaches and pleasure haunts of the area. Every part of this rich tapestry of sights to see and savor invites exploration. One can only mention some of the distinctive destinations due to space limitations.
Noosa’s well known region has a rare north-facing beach, the Noosa National Park and the Noosa Everglades. Your visit here will give you a taste of why it has earned UNESCO’s Biosphere Reserve designation. If you want to see the worlds oldest working silent movie theatre it is the Majestic Cinema. The Noosa Shire Museum, The Old Pomona Railway Station Art Gallery, the Cooroy Heritage Walk and the Noosa Trail Network are amongst Noosas diverse charms.
In Mooloolaba you can enjoy different boating experiences from kayaking to hiring a dinghy to sailing on a yacht. Its parks, picnic areas and playgrounds for the kids are a family favorite. The Big Pineapple is a major pineapple plantation that offers education about all things pineapple in entertaining ways. The Superbee Honey Factory will not only entertain your children with attractions based on fairytales they are familiar with; but, also has an extensive range of honey varieties to try. A live beekeeping demonstration and explanation of honey production will inform you here. The cartoon inspired Ettamogah Pub is a place to tickle your funny bone. Bli Bli Castle has a large display of medieval armor and comes equipped with a dungeon and torture chamber. Here you will find incongruously 350 dancing dolls dressed in national costumes from 57 countries and a doll museum with more than 2200 dolls., plus seven fairytales and toys from the past. The castles towers and battlements have panoramic views of the area. Ski & Skurf located at Bli Bli invites you to try different water sporting experiences. The Big Kart Track and The Bungy Bullet allow you to test speed in different ways in the same location. Here you can race on Australia’s largest and fastest Go-Kart track or experience the G Forces by being shot into the air. Skydive Ramblers offer parachuting adventure. Nostalgia Town will take you on a train trip through Australian history. The Club Pelican designed by Greg Norman is one of the area golf courses. Thoroughbred racing at the Corbould Park races is among the entertaining destinations.
